My topic is on animation. Because of this, I decided to develop a portfolio of my work in progress to turn in for the first independent component. The portfolio will consist of my character designs I’m in the process of refining, as well as handouts I received and sketching techniques I was encouraged to practice to strengthen my conceptual skills.
I chose to do a portfolio rather than do an additional 30 hours with a mentor because their schedules are already tight and to push for extra time would be impractical.
Because animation begins with the artist’s drawing skills, I plan to assemble my designs and create a storyboard to transform it into a short animation by the end of senior year. I plan to present this work for senior project.
